Visit two of Dorset's finest gardens on a private, full day tour.

With its mild climate, Dorset is the perfect place for traditional English gardening. On this day tour you can visit two of the best of them, travelling at your own pace.
First stop is the pretty village of Abbotsbury with its streets of honey-coloured, thatched stone cottages to visit Abbotsbury Sub-Tropical Gardens. This historic garden, known for its rare and exotic plant collections was established in the 18th century. It thrives in a unique microclimate sheltered by surrounding hills, allowing plants from around the world to flourish.

After lunch, we drive along the coast and then into rural West Dorset to visit Forde Abbey. Forde Abbey started life in the 12th century as a Cistercian monastery, becoming a stately home in the 17th. Today, it is renowned for its beautifully preserved monastic architecture and expansive 30 acre gardens, including England's highest water fountain.
